Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Modeling of a partially cascaded heat pump system



This will be difficult to model.  EnergyPlus does not have an air to water heat 
pump.  For cooling operation, you can use an air cooled chiller with 
appropriate performance adjustments.  For heating operation, you could use the 
heat pump water heater, but this requires modeling a hot water storage tank so 
there is extra complexity.

To model the cascaded heat pump, use UnitarySystem:HeatPump:WaterToAir and put 
the water side of the heat pump coil(s) in series on the same branch as the 
radiant cooling panel, and set both component control types to SERIESACTIVE.  
But there are some control issues, and I am not completely sure this will 
simulate properly.
