Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Simulation with Purchased Air and HVAC Compact - (without using LOOPS)

1. For the simple case: COMPACT HVAC:THERMOSTAT (one or more depending on
whether all zones use the same setpoints) plus COMPACT HVAC:ZONE:PURCHASED AIR
(one per zone). See example file CompactHVAC-5ZonePurchAir.idf

2. For the full system case: COMPACT HVAC:THERMOSTAT (one or more depending
on whether all zones use the same setpoints), plus COMPACT HVAC:ZONE:VAV (min
flow set to 1.0) and COMPACT HVAC:SYSTEM:VAV (with heat recovery). If the hot
water radiators are in the sames zones served by the air handling units, then
you can add these with COMPACT HVAC:ZONE:VAV (but only if you upgrade to
version 2.1). You can use COMPACT HVAC:ZONE:FAN COIL for the chilled water fan
coils (schedule the heating coils off). Then tie it all together with COMPACT
HVAC:PLANT:* objects. See all of the Compact HVAC example files.

There is no general discussion in the documentation about how to structure the
overall system configuration. Use the example files and Compact HVAC to learn.
When using Compact HVAC, it is helpful to read the expidf output file to learn
how the components tie together.
