Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Solar radiation on building surface

There are a number of output variables you can use for solar radiation on surfaces:

Surface Ext Solar Incident [W/m2]
Surface Ext Solar Beam Incident [W/m2]
Surface Ext Solar Sky Diffuse Incident [W/m2]
Surface Ext Solar Ground Diffuse Incident [W/m2]

Just report whatever variables you want for whatever surfaces you want, and add them up.  You will need the area of each surface to convert the watts per m2 into just watts, the areas can be found in the eplusout.eio output.

Can I use EnergyPlus to calculate the annual total amount of solar radiation received by a building's all surfaces? How should I do it and output the results?

Many thanks!
