[Equest-users] Baseline Heating Load

Hello All,

 

I am having a problem with my baseline model of all things. I have a one
story building served by multiple PSZ-AC utilizing a natural gas furnace
for heating located in Charleston, SC. I have allowed eQuest to size the
gas furnace for %125 of the heating load however the energy use is
extremely high and I don't think it is appropriate to take credit for
it. I have attached a portion of the BEPS report from both the baseline
and design buildings as well as the baseline model. The only major
changes to the model that would affect heating (I think) are R-15 for
the walls, R-30 for the roof and PPG's SB 70XL glass. If anyone could
offer insight as to why my heating load is so high and how to reduce it
I would appreciate it.
