It may be unintentional, but this is a somewhat broad question in the
context of EPAct deduction modeling...

Regarding how specific you have to be and what to use regarding
occupancy schedules and such, the best concise advice is to refer back
to Section 3.03 of IRS 2006-52. The required occupancy scheduling and
items of that nature to follow (referencing Title 24) for the EPAct
reference building are defined there.

While 90.1 tells you to use scheduling in the baseline that matches the
proposed, and EPAct tells you to refer to 90.1's means/methods of
modeling in Appendix G, the following Section 3.04 of the same document
tells you the proposed model must essentially be identical to referenced
in every regard (including scheduling) except the "interior lighting
systems, heating, cooling, ventilation, and hot water systems, and
building envelope..."

Hope that clears the waters a bit!

Subject: [Equest-users] eQuest Building Definition for Telephone
CompanyCentral Office

To All,

Has anyone modeled a central office in eQuest. I am working on an AT&T
property and am unsure what type of building to use. This model will be
used to calculate IRS section 179D HVAC tax deductions. Some of the
building is like a data center, large electronics cabinets that generate
much heat and need to be cooled year round. Other areas are like very
large LAN rooms, with wire termination racks and small electronic
modules similar to routers or hubs. These areas usually need to be
heated during the winter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Paul Diglio
