Kw/cfm is only calculated for the baseline system. Use your actual cfm
and static pressure for the proposed model. Be sure to use the total
system static and not just the external.

Subject: [Equest-users] FCU Fan Power

Dear All,

Please excuse my ignorance, but how would you calculate the fan power of
FCU units for modelling the proposed case? Looking at the manufacturer
specifications (McQuay), I am dividing input power by the airflow rate,
which is giving me values around 0,0002600 kw/CFM (for example 318 CFM
at
80 W). However, many other energy studies that I have seen are using
values like 0,00045 kW/CFM.

Are my values normal or am I again missing something here?

I would appreciate any feedback,

Regards,
