Hi Derek,

Here are the short answers to your questions.

 1. I've used Design Development Wizard to set up the base case model, but for the proposed case, I think I just need to switch to the Detailed Data Edit and modify the inputs, right ? Both design cases shall be in the same file, right ?
Yes, you can usually put both proposed and baseline cases in the same model by using parametric runs in Detailed mode.

 1. If the previous step is right, then how to restore the previous modifications from Detailed Data Edit if I want to switch between Wizard Data Edit and Detailed Data Edit modes and like to keep all the changes made in Detailed Data Edit mode ?

Once you make changes in Detail mode, you don't go back to Wizard mode. You can do everything in Detail mode that you can do in Wizard, plus lots more, it's just that the Wizard helps you set things up that would otherwise be tedious (such as geometry and schedules). I always save a copy of the file before switching to Detail mode, that way I can flip back and forth between Wizard and Detail mode in that copy without worrying about wiping out the edits I make in Detailed mode in my working file.

Subject: [Equest-users] Creating a Proposed case model in eQUEST

Hi all,

I have two questions when modeling the proposed case:

 1. I've used Design Development Wizard to set up the base case model, but for the proposed case, I think I just need to switch to the Detailed Data Edit and modify the inputs, right ? Both design cases shall be in the same file, right ?
 2. If the previous step is right, then how to restore the previous modifications from Detailed Data Edit if I want to switch between Wizard Data Edit and Detailed Data Edit modes and like to keep all the changes made in Detailed Data Edit mode ?

I'm new in using eQUEST and looking for your expertise.

Thanks,
