[Equest-users] HELP!! - Value is not within the allowable range

Reinstall eQUEST with the "only for me" option instead of "for all
users" option. This puts all shared database files (materials
libraries, weather, etc) in sub directories of %userprofile%\Documents
rather than the All Users profile (which usually has restricted write
access).

Good luck,

Steven,

you explained it all perfectly and simply. good job.

Brian,

you're best bet to start is to attach your .pd2 file and .inp files and
let us see your files and error you are getting. Maybe one of us on the
list can look at it for you and see if anything in your model is
triggering your error.

Brian,

there is no "equest help desk" per se. There is this list, and several
users who are very experienced. As has been pointed out recently,
responses
to the list are by other program users who are responding in their free
(read "non-billable") time. I haven't personally run into this error
before, but it could be related to access restriction.

The best way to get help from the list is to state the problem in a
concise
fashion AND post your .inp and .pd2 files so that other modelers can try
to
duplicate the errors. That way we can isolate if it's a problem with
your
files, or something with your computer set up.

If you continue to have difficulty troubleshooting this, or other issues
for
which you don't get answers from the list, I would suggest either
emailing
the equest development team directly (Scott Criswell often responds to
issues brought up on the equest-users list) or contact one of the
experienced modelers for some off-list (paid) assistance.

Steven

The Equest Error ' "Value is not within the allowable range." appears
whenever accessing any Reports. The simulations run without error and
the
Sim Reports and .bdl files don't show any errors. I've tried a few
different
test files and all get the same error. Has anyone seen this problem?

Running on XP on a Navy NMCI computer (encrypted, lots of access
restrictions, etc). Could it be a rights issue?

*******

There are 3 other posts on this site from users with the same error.
Nobody
has answered any of these posts. Where else can someone get support?
