[Equest-users] Carbon Footprint in eQUEST

How to do this with any energy modeling software:

1. Create a model.

2. Collect your annual consumed energy figures for each service
(gas/electric) from the reports.

3. Subtract any energy generated (wind/PV/etc).

4. Plug those figures and the appropriate project details into the
energystar target finder, importantly include the project's zipcode.

5. This is supposed to work out site vs. source emissions based on
your project's zip code and the local grid utility sources, when you
choose the "grid purchase" option. For example if you locate a building
next to a bunch of nuclear plants, the impact is less than if the power
is coming from a bunch of coal plants.

Subject: [Equest-users] Carbon Footprint in eQUEST

Hello All,

Is anybody aware of an output report in eQUEST that documents the
building's CO2 emissions? I haven't been able to locate any such report
in the program. If this is not available, can anybody point me in the
right direction as to how I can figure out the CO2 emissions?

Thanks,

Jonathon Pfantz
