Thank you. This was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't realize by
specifying a construction type you create the surface. This offers great
flexibility now.

Not true. See screen 3 of 25 in the DD wizard. Look at the pull down
menu. You will see the option to select no exterior exposure. On same
screen look at pull down menu for floors, etc. Also look at screen 1 of
25 to specify # of floors. You can call each floor a shell if you want
to. Or you can call your dog or cat Shell.....

What is the method for handling this so I ultimately end up with only
one external roof surface. I feel like deleting the extra roof surfaces
is a bad idea.
