[Equest-users] VRF & ENTHALPY WHEEL

Rob,

It’s slower/more accurate to break it up and put it on the individual zones, assuming you’re using the standard “dummy zone” approach for the make up air unit. If you put it on the make up air unit, it will see the return air from the dummy zone rather than the “real” return air from the conditioned zones. I am not (consistently) happy with the results, especially when the ERV is distributed among many zones, but my opinion is that it’s faster than parsing hourly reports and determining the savings with an exceptional calculation.

Subject: [Equest-users] VRF & ENTHALPY WHEEL

hey,
So i am creating a VRF system using the methods from that powerpoint that people posted not too long ago. i have all my zones and systems almost ready, and i was wondering if people think that it would be easier/more accurate to put the enthalpy wheel on the make up air unit or the individual heat pump zones?
