[Equest-users] Air Source Heat Pump

An air source heat pump attached to a water loop can either be modelled as a heat pump chiller attached to a two-pipe water loop, or you can use an electric boiler with an EIR at the heat pump's EIR. This doesn't capture the part load performance or the dependence on outdoor air temperatures; to capture this you will need to create hourly reports of the boiler demand, correlate these with the outdoor air temperature, and use the performance curves to calculate the actual energy usage of the boiler/heat pump.

All the best,
Dan
