Follow Steven's advice. In the input file, find the DHW PLANT 1 LOOP in
the Circulation Loops section and just remove the line that says,
"SUBTYPE = SECONDARY".

I've also had this problem with adding/changing water side components.
While I don't know what the "fix" is in equest, a way to work around
this problem and get your model running again is through editing water
side components directly in the .inp file.  If you're uncomfortable
doing that, or not familiar with directly editing the .inp file give me
a call.  

 

Also, when you have model problems and questions for the list, remember
to post your .inp and .pd2 files, as it makes answering questions easier
when we can open the model ourselves (unless of course there are
confidentiality issues related to the model)

Working in Detailed Data Edit; CIRCULATION LOOP PROPERTIES; I made the
mistake of changing my LOOP SUBTYPE to "Secondary" from "Primary".

 

eQuest does not like this.  Boy, it really doesn't like this.

 

In fact, when I attempt to change back to "Primary" eQuest shuts down
and kicks me out.

 

I have attempted to change it by deleting the entire DHW PLANT 1 LOOP
and starting over fresh, but eQuest always shuts down.

 

eQuest will not let me correct my error.

 

This is obviously a bug in eQuest.  But what is the fix?
