[Equest-users] Air-Side Economizer

Hello All,

I'll give a little background to the dilemma that I came across yesterday. I was looking through my SS-A reports, and noticed a large cooling energy consumption in the winter months (this space has a high internal load). I would have expected most of the load to be handled by free cooling, and the additional load to be handled my system. I did not have a MIN OA schedule defined. However, I did have an economizer schedule defined. I thought that since I told the program my economizer could be operating year round, it would automatically activate when required (within the high limit/low limit shut-off). I then inserted a minimum OA schedule of 0.001 year round, per the help menu to activate the economizer, and the results were looking significantly more promising.

This space is not occupied, so I did not have an OA schedule in there previously. Can anyone tell me if this is the correct way to activate the economizer?

Thanks, happy holidays.
