[Equest-users] Domestic Hot Water

The DHW hot water value is calculated based on the building type( office/hotel or residential) and the occupancy density. These are all determined in wizard mode. When I do DHW simulation in eQuest usually I just use flow rate and profile schedule in detail mode. The flow rate is calculated by design documents and input in detail mode with a reasonable schedule( you could find it in ASHRAE 90.1 user manual). I think this method could be quick and more accurate.

I thought this should be simple, but I am trying to figure out how eQuest models DHW. I cannot seem to find (in detailed mode) either where the hot water use is actually entered, or how it is calculated. The total gas load for DHW seems high (70% of the total use in the building). Any suggestions on how to track this down? Thanks in advance.
