[Equest-users] Multiple Occupancy seasons per floors

Brian,

Each zone does have its own schedule by default because each zone is
assigned an HVAC system, and these systems have heating and cooling
schedules as well as schedules for fans and all other types of equipment.
You could truly overwhelm yourself. In these systems you can place as many
user defined schedules as you want. I would hesitate to do too many
schedules. I've done this once and it took me hours and hours to sit through
each schedule and figure out what was going on. In your situation I would
pick 2 types of overall schedule paths. One that is based on your average
hours of operation and the other one set to your peak hours. Once you start
working on custom schedules there is no turning back to the wizard you are
committed so make sure you are satisfied with your model where it stands and
do a save as.

The way the schedules work is that you have them based on different tables
that calculate different things based on time, temperature etc. You need to
decide what your schedule will be based on and what it affects.

It starts with a day schedule, in other words what is that schedule doing
for that day. You can set up every day differently if you want, totally up
to you. Your next schedule will go into weeks, where you assign the
operation of 1 week. Here you can assign 52 different weeks for the year or
you can assign 2 different types of weeks, which I would suggest, week A and
week B. These 2 weeks can cover the next schedule which is the month. Decide
which months cover week A and which months need to cover week B. So week A
could cover January through March and week B could cover April through
September and then you could put Week A on October through December.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [Equest-users] Multiple Occupancy seasons per floors

I currently have a four floor building modeled in DD. I just recently
received the occupancy, lights, and equipment schedule. Now in Alaska we
have a heavy tourist season so portions of same floor will have completely
different seasonal occupancies than other portions. For example a large
tourist only gift shop will have a large summer spike while an office on the
same floor can operate constantly all year long. Can I make zone specific
operation hrs? Similarly is it possible to assign different activity levels
to individual zones on the same floor?

Thanks,
