[Equest-users] Another skylight conundrum! Yuck!

Charles: Great suggestion, but nope - azimuth hasn't been touched yet
in this project... On a related note, I've seen azimuth play mean games
before too... I try to do all zoning layouts and wizard-level work
"orthogonally" as a result, even if the actual orientation is skewed in
that sense.

Bruce: That array layout function is still floating around and is my
preference to this (newer?) custom layout approach, but I can't engage
those inputs when using a pitched roof, it would seem.

Thanks for the input!

Did you change your building orientation in the wizard? I know this
sometimes messes with things, such as skylights. I always wait until
the detailed mode and change the azimuth there rather than trying to
deal with it in the wizard.

I remember an array function in the skylight section. I used it a year
ago so don't have much recollection of where it was but it was in the
wizards. You could do a 1x whatever to get your 90'

Well, it took a little extra wrangling, but I've got at least one
approach that sorta embraces this wonky behavior... Something I can't
control wants to rotate any shape 90 degrees, and swapping the
width/length results in a 90 ft long strip won't fit on the sloped
surface (causing the wizards to choke up and gasp for air - oh the
horror!)... So what the heck - (3) 30ft strips spaced 30ft on center
seems to do the trick for each row:

Close enough =D!

I can't get these to end up near the roof ridge where they are in
reality, but I have bigger fish to fry in this model to get really
further hung up on aesthetics... Hope this band-aid fix helps someone
else down the road... If anyone knows of a more elegant solution, or
how one might avoid this "auto-rotating" feature, please do share!

Peace out,

Hey everyone!

I know at least one right answer to this is to just skip the wizards,
but this one is bugging me as it's realllly close!

Can anyone suggest a wizard-level fix for when a skylight layout screen
like this...

...ends up looking like this on closing the wizards?:

I've had almost zero luck with wizard-generated pitched roofs in the
past, but this one is *nearly* there, haha!

Any thoughts would be appreciated =),
