[Equest-users] Warning about delayed walls

This thread was helpful for resolving a delayed wall warning that I was having, and I wanted to add something that may help others resolve these sorts of warnings quicker.
2 delayed walls warnings were showing up for plenum spaces whose wall constructions didn't look any different from those of other plenum spaces that weren't giving the warning. I clicked on the ceiling of the space just below the problematic plenum though, and found that it was set Next To the space it is a component of, rather than the plenum above. By fixing the ceiling's Next To to be the plenum space, the plenum's requirement of "at least 1 delayed floor and delayed wall" is met, and the warning goes away.

I noticed this warning only occurs for spaces that I designated as "Unconditioned" such as stairwells. Do I still need to do my wall constructions using layers? Is it correct to make spaces like stairwells "Unconditioned" or should I be modeling them some other way?

Hi,

I get the following error:

SPACE EL1 Core Plnm (B.C43) has 0 delayed walls, 1 delayed floors and 0 delayed ceilings. There should be at least a delayed wall and floor, a delayed wall and ceiling, or a delayed ceiling and floor for custom weighting factors to be calculated. ASHRAE weighting factors with floor weight of 70 lb/ft2 (342 kg/m2) will be used for this space. (lLineNum = 1000000)

I saw that this issue was answered back in '07 but I cannot seem to figure out how to fix the problem. Does anyone have any solutions for this?

Best,

Roger Maranan
