[Equest-users] is there a way back from this error?

This isn't too strange - that error is related to processing of the 3D
image, and that capability is tied directly to your video card and
general processor.

Maybe try it on a higher powered computer?

Hi Sami,

Yes, large model with lots of custom polygons......the message is gone,
project loads but I still can't view the 3-D, I see the shells only in
2-D.

*I got several responses from various users on the camera reset, latest
being from Josh Greenfield that I'm pasting it below, since interesting
thing-Josh can see the 3-D pix from the zip file I sent, but I
can't.....go figure?!?

Anything else I can try on my end?

It's weird that Umesh and Josh can see the 3-D from model I sent and I'm
not able to.

Best,

N

The file took a long time to open for me, but the 3D came right up...

...maybe try saving the .PD2/.BDL/.INP in a new folder with just those 3
files and try opening.

Josh,

Found your posting below on the 3-D fun in equest, but didn't work.
Anything else you can add before I go back and try to recreate?

Model runs/loads but I still can't see the 3-D in equest-it's not even
an option.

Thx,

Nikola

Lost 3-D Geometry Model

If "Reset Camera" AND closing/re-opening doesn't work...close
eQuest...open your .PD2 file in Notepad and look at lines 13
(ClippingRange), 14 (FocalPoint) and 15 (Position)...

Proj "Peck_Baseline"

ProgramVersion = "eQUEST 3.63.6510"

BDBaseVersion = 24

ProductCode = "eQUEST"

WeatherFile = "TMY2\CHICAGIL.bin"

CreateDate = 1255555885

ModDate = 1262904952

RunDate = 1262903881

LibraryFile = "eQ_Lib.dat"

ActiveMode = 0

InputModule = 1

UseCameraData = 1

ClippingRange = ( 400.541, 1731.6 )

FocalPoint = ( -89.875, 25.375, 18.0293 )

Position = ( -807.176, 648.915, 295.315 )

If any of the values in there are HUGE (probably with exponents) then
just change them to zero...save...re-open eQuest. These values are just
used by the eQuest camera so you're not changing any shell positions or
anything.

Nikola,

Don't worry about it - I've had that message come up before. It didn't
affect anything - it was a pretty large model with a number of custom
polygons - is that what you have too?

Hi,

I get the following error multiple times when trying to finish a
retirement center with multiple bld's, shells and units....equest runs a
long time.

Is there a way to fix it or I go back to my previous files to retrieve
left over info? The 3D is not generating looks like adding last bld's
did it...

Thanks,

Nikola
