[Equest-users] Normal and Horizontal Solar Radiation - Convertion weather from EPW to BIN

What solar parameters are you comparing? EPW contains extraterrestrial
total horizontal, extraterrestrial direct normal, total horizontal,
direct normal, and diffuse horizontal. BIN contains total horizontal,
and direct normal only. The extraterrestrial values are not used in
building simulations, and diffuse horizontal can be calculated as (total
horizontal - direct normal * sin (solar angle) ). Therefore, as far as
simulation programs go, all use the same basic data. There should be no
difference except for round-off errors between the total global
horizontal and direct normal between EPW and BINM.
