CHIBPSA
The CHIBPSA (IBPSA-Chicago) Chapter of IBPSA-USA is now soliciting nominations for election to the Board of Directors. We hope you will consider this opportunity to contribute at the leadership level and to help shape the Chapter's future.  The Chapter is seeking Directors to form a Board with diverse building simulation experience.  In addition the Chapter is looking for Directors with experience in forming and running non-profit organizations.
ELECTION SCHEDULE
Nomination Period:

November 18-27, 2013

Deadline to Submit Application:

4:00 PM November 27th, 2013

Candidate Notification:

December 4th, 2013

Candidate Slate Announced:

December 5th, 2013

Election:

December 5-13, 2013

Election Results Announced:

December 20th, 2013

New Board Members Seated:

January 2014


WHO CAN VOTE?
All persons who have expressed interest in the chapter by joining the LinkedIn group, attending an event, or requesting information by email may vote in this election.
TERMS & MEETINGS

*         The term of office is for one year from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014.

*         Board conference calls will be held monthly on a schedule to be determined.


QUALIFICATIONS
Given the Chapter's recent founding and expanding scope of programs, a number of qualifications are particularly important:

*         Candidates will be selected to provide a mix of expertise, potential contributions, leadership, business experience, and diversity.

*         Candidate must commit to becoming a dues paying member of the IBPSA-USA Chapter if elected.

*         Candidates should live or work in the Chicago metropolitan area.


GENERAL INFORMATION

*         Nominations will be accepted for five (5) board seats.

*         You may nominate yourself by submitting a statement of interest and a short bio or nominate another member by asking them to do so.

*         Candidate statements and bios will be posted prior to election.

*         Voting instructions will be posted prior to commencement of voting.

*         Submit nominations by no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 to hbeaudoin at grummanbutkus.com<mailto:hbeaudoin at grummanbutkus.com>
