Ari,

Google RETscreen.  It contains a variety of renewable energy screening tools and is available for free download from the Canadian equivalent of our Dept. of Energy.  I've found the user interface easy to use and the help screens are very useful.

I've used it for years going back to when each tool was a separate macro driven Excel file.  Now everything is compiled into one program.  If for some reason you don't like the current version 4.x, let me know as the v. 3.0 separate spreadsheet is probably easier and quicker to use and I can email it to you.

Hi all,

Not really an eQUEST question, but is anyone aware of a quick tool for estimating wind energy viability/production?  I'm imagining something analogous to PVWatts for solar - a back-of-the-envelope-type calculator based on geographic location and basic system parameters.
