Hello,

How can I pass strings from C++ code to a custom type in TRNSYS?

I am trying to pass string values to a new TRNSYS type created using the Export to C++ template. I have tried using the "Special Cards" part to allow for string input to the code. However, when I use the getLabel() function to get / set the string, and run the code in TRNSYS, I get the following error:

"Access violation at address 0290F88A in module 'DFORRT.DLL'. Write of address 00000002."

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Best regards,
