You enter the total array area and the total array flow rate.  The model will set the flows to each collector internally based on the number in series parameter.  This parameter does have an impact on the results when you correctly set the flow.  Typically a system with 6 collectors in parallel will have a flow rate 6x the flow of a system with 6 collectors in series.
