[TRNSYS-users] TRNBuild and radiation from the sun

Donya,
   Because the 3d model contains the geometry information needed to 
determine the solar radiation falling on each surface, Type56 
automatically gets solar radiation from the same data file as is being 
used to provide the ambient temperature. You should be able to use 
Type99 directly and Type56 should be able to pick up the radiation 
itself. If you want to be more transparent about it all (and provide the 
radiation yourself via individual links to the building model the way we 
used to do) then you can open the *.b17 in TRNBuild and double click on 
each of the orientations shown in the project info window. Set any of 
the orientations you want from "internal calculation" to "external by 
another component." When you return to the Studio and update the 
building variable list you will have three new inputs for each 
orientation in your building description.
