Actually Debra,
You should get credit for it under EAc1.1
There is a provision for renewable energy in the ECB calculations (PV should count as renewable energy).
The way it works is to get the DEC'', you use the following (Correct me if I am wrong here)
DEC'' = DEC' - REC'
where
DEC' = Design Energy Cost before PV ($)
REC' = Renewable component ($)
The energy cost savings are then calculated as
Savings % = [(ECB' - DEC'')/ECB'] * 100
Hope this helps

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Any LEED projects getting an ID credit for PV or solar thermal
Hi Greenies,
I assume LEED will not give an ID credit for an installation of either a solar electric or a solar thermal system, since solar thermal will count towards EAc1.1 and there already is a renewable energy credit.
In our case, the PV system will not generate the required 5% thus the project will get no credit for it. Our project is using both solar thermal and PV.
Does anyone know of any specific projects where the USGBC gave the project an ID credit for using either.
Many Thanks!!!!
