[BLDG-SIM] Saving components to the user library in Equest

I do what Vikram does.

Another choice for advanced users is to make the changes directly in the
BDLlib.dat file that eQuest uses. Unfortunetly this file sometimes
changes with updates so all your work to create a custom library would
have to be re-created with each new update.

Personally, I save the comonents as text files out of the inp file. You
can then paste them into your inp file whenver you need them in a new
project.

I apologize for the confusion - the documentation instructing users
about saving components to a user library was supposed to be stricken
from the eQUEST online help system. eQUEST does not currently support
the saving of building components to user libraries.

Good morning,
I'm having an issue with trying to save a component to the user library
in Equest. The help files make it sound pretty straight forward,

"After you have created or edited a building component, the Edit, Save
Component to Library command allows you to save it to your User Library.
The default User Library is USRLIB.DAT."

The problem that I'm running into is that the "save component to
library" command is not a selectable option on my edit menu. When I
right click on a component to bring up the edit menu, the library
command is "grayed out". Is there some sort of set up that needs to be
done so that I am able to save the user library?

Thanks,
Dustin
