[BLDG-SIM] DOE2.2R vs EPRI Supermarket Simulation Tool

Hi,

 

I am preparing to model a number of supermarket buildings, and I am
wondering about the capabilities of DOE2.2R as compared with the EPRI
Supermarket Simulation Tool.  

 

I've been told that the EPRI tool does a much better job of modeling the
interaction between the refrigerated cases and the air handlers.  Does
DOE2.2R have improvements in this area compared to DOE2.1E?

 

Also, is there a preferred tool in terms of modeling all the latest
efficiency measures?  

 

Finally, what are the capabilities for customizing the analysis.  The
old DOE2.1E refrigeration module allowed custom functions.  Do these new
tools have similar capabilities?
