I am working with a client who has a small 2 storey (~4000 sqft) assembly building applying for LEED certification here in Upstate NY. The building is heating only, with energy recovery ventilators supplying 'neutral' or untempered air to the occupied zones. The lower floor has 3 radiant floor slab zones fed by a condensing boiler. The upper floor has low temp baseboard heat.
Does anyone out there have any successful experience modeling radiant floor (slab)heating systems in a manner that USGBC will accept w/o resulting to using EnergyPlus..?
If so, could you please share your general approach, modeling software used, simplifications, and/or methodologies used? References are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for responses..
