David,

Aziz Laouadi at NRC Canada has written a paper on an analytic solution
to solar gain and light transmittance of barrel vaults. This algorithms
is contained in the program SkyVision developed by NRC Canada.  I have
cc'ed Aziz on this e-mail.

Dear Colleagues,
   Our firm has been asked to write a TRNSYS model of a barrel vault
style greenhouse (metal half hoops with a two sheets of thin plastic
stretched over them, enclosed on both ends but usually heavily
ventilated). Is anybody aware of research that has been done in this
area and whether models have been developed? We are looking more for
models of the fundamental energy transfers and not as much for
approximations that can be made using work-arounds in existing tools.
Any help or direction that could be provided would be greatly
appreciated.
