[BLDG-SIM] CO2 monitoring / demand ventillation

Hello:
  I was trying to model  demand ventillation strategy for an office building  using MIN-AIR-SCH and Occupancy schedule commands in DOE-2.1e.
  The annual heating was drastically reduced. However, the annual cooling increased by 4%. I am not sure why this happened. Can anybody point out the potential errors I may have made in my assumptions?
