Not sure whether you can model in eQuest but I'm sure there is a way to model it indirectly. If you want to model it directly by not tweaking the program, download the EnergyPlus program and look at the example file for solar absorption cooling. The program can handle solar absorption cooling and solar electric energy.

Subject: [bldg-sim] eQuest - solar absorption cooling

Has anyone modeled a water fired absorption chiller utilizing solar
collection or solar absorption cooing systems in eQUEST? Is it even
possible in DOE-2 - I am not sure?

The Sun Powers the Audubon Center's Solar Trigeneration System at Debs
Park in Los Angeles. This is a LEED Platinum building. The Solar
Trigeneration System Consists of a 10Ton Solar Absorption Cooling System
matched with a Solar Electric Power System.

What would be a good tool for this? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Mohit
