EnergyPlus will allow you to simulate interior window blinds and shades
(as well as exterior, and between glazing layers). On/off deployment of
the blinds or shades on a time step basis can be controlled in several
ways (see the WindowShadingControl input object). You will have to
define the solar and thermal characteristics of the blind or shade (see
the Material:WindowShade or Material:WindowBlind input objects). Also
see the EnergyPlus Engineering Reference documentation for more detail
on the calculation methods (Shaded Window under Daylighting and Window
Calculations, and Shading Device Thermal Model under Window Heat Balance
Calculation).
