[BLDG-SIM] EnergyPlus Workshop August 31 - September 1, Beijing

I would be more than happy to participate in any web based training that
could be held. With the registration and participation being free for
the class indicated below, I wonder what information as far as training
guides and presentations as well as video from this workshop could be
made available to the public for future use or possible web casting.

 

Our offices have not taken on EnergyPlus like we have IES <VE>, eQuest
and TRNSYS, but I see strengths in it especially when coupled with the
interface for geometry that Designbuilder has to offer.  At this point
flipping through the 2000+ page help guides has been less than desirable
for me, but I am willing to except it should it be my only option.

Introduction to EnergyPlus Workshop  


August 31-September 1, 2007
(before Building Simulation 2007 conference)
Tsinghua University, Beijing, China

This workshop will introduce EnergyPlus to modelers who are familiar
with the basic concepts of HVAC systems and energy simulation. The
course will cover the mechanics of using EnergyPlus with an emphasis on
basic concepts that provide a foundation for more advanced applications.
Participants will model basic building envelopes and systems through a
series of 6 student exercises during the two days to learn how to use
EnergyPlus and associated utility programs. Day 1 covers basics and Day
2 goes into more depth. 

 

Registration and participation is free but class size is limited. Send
