Ian,
Here is a great website that is all about concrete and nothing but concrete.

You might find an answer there.

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] increasing concrete slab conductivity
Anyone know of a common and cheap procedure to add a material to a concrete pour to drive up its conductivity from a common 1.6 to 1.7 W/m-K. We don't want to add rebar nor a wire mess. I'm thinking of pulverized metal material that would not corrode within the conrete reducing the strength, causing cracks/discoloration. I'd be appreciative if anyone knew of any research or currently applied practices.
With radiant tubing buried a further depth below the finished surface, want to increase the dynamic response of the slab.
Thanks
