[BLDG-SIM] using ethanol on site

Dear all,

Are there examples of buildings using ethanol (corn based or otherwise) as
on site energy source in Cogen or a furnace or some other way?

If it can actually be used, I'm interested in knowing the precise process
and the efficiency of the process compared to using non renewable sources.
