[BLDG-SIM] Glazing shading

Provided the perforated shade cannot be removed (i.e., permanently mounted),
and provided the sun always strikes it before passing through to the window,
I would use the shade’s transmissivity as a multiplier to adjust the
window’s SHGC downward.
LOD
P.S. I make no claim that this as an official interpretation of the code
method – it just seems logical to me.

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Glazing shading
All
I am currently trying to input a building into Comcheck that has a
perforated metal panel in front of a number of areas of glazing. What I want
to do is take into account the shading of the panels. As the projection
factor only takes into account a horizontal overhang I can’t see a way of
accomplishing this.
Has anyone else had this situation and if so what was your solution?
Thanks in advance
