[Bldg-sim] IES-VE

I find it really odd that you don't have permission to use the IES name even
in a somewhat derived form, when other user groups have previously existed
on yahoo, etc.  Is this an IES trademark issue?  

Do they realise how much support time saving they would probably be making
from having a user list like the ones here?  

Surely they would welcome something that reduces their need to provide so
much support and it would offer students that don't get support from them an
alternative route to getting some support.

Pete, I know you are also on this list, can you shed any light for us?

I would be glad to set up a new mailing list for users of IES-VE using
onebuilding.org, all we need is a name. 
Unfortunately, I do not have permission to name the list IES-VE-users or
VE-users or anything that might be trademarked. If someone can come up with
a good name that is not trademarked, I will set up a new mailing list.
