Subject: [Bldg-sim] One off topic LEED Question, one IBPSA meeting question

One of our clients is interested in certifying a portion of their new building under LEED-CI. Can an owner complete a LEED-CI project in their own building?

The rest of the building would not be certified under LEED-NC, while obviously encouraged, this isn't a requirement for the typical tenant build-out. The wording in the CI rating system doesn't specifically mention the possibility for an owner to be their own tenant.

Any thoughts?

Separate question: anyone coming to IBPSA meeting Saturday morning and want to split transportation from LaGuardia let me know, ~10:30am. My default will be to try out the metropolitan transportation authority since I haven't experienced that before.

David
