Dear All,
I am trying to simulate a 60000 sq ft office building located in Houston, in eQuest that has packaged air cooled DX units and electric heat. It is a 3 story building and there is one unit on each floor. The proposed has been simulated with a system per floor.
The baseline equipment is packaged rooftop heat pump. It has been simulated with a system per zone.The percent of hours not meeting the throttling range are 14.9%.
When adding more core zones, the % of hrs is in the range of 32%. The core zones are undercooled, and so on adding more core zones and more units for those - the % of hours are increasing, not decreasing.
Please advise.
