-------------- next part --------------
Hello All:
- Major objective: Goal is to save a charitable organization here in the N.E. some of their high utility costs at an adult services/senior care center that functions as heartbeat of this major neighborhood.
- Building Particulars: Fully Functioning basement, three-story brick and steel. Very well built c. 1939-1940.
Audited building envelope.
Required measures are being planned for implementation.
New operable double-sash thermally-insulated windows throughout within last 6 months.
New #4 oil-fueled boiler c. 1993 fully insulated.
- Methodology: calculate and/or modeling waste heat from three computer labs with two servers, extensive offices with p.c.s, faxes and floor model heavy- duty photocopiers on two additional floors, full hot-meal (lunch) cooking kitchen with several double-sided freezers, refrigerators and icemakers.
- Process:
audited throughout,
prepared electrical appliance database of manufacturer's MSDS wattages.
- Goal: Channel all waste heat into recovery heat to work with the 8 air handlers by:
1. changing AHU cav to vav
2. adding electronic controls to monitor heat recovery and 8 AHU.
3. monitor end-goal performance of AHUs.
4. realize immediate utility bill cost savings.
Working with current E-Quest.
Thank you for your help.
