[Bldg-sim] Commercial Building Tax Deductions

The IRS provides tax deductions for commercial buildings (up to $1.80 per square foot) for buildings that reduce energy costs beyond 90.1-2001.
 
Does anyone know if the newest federal legislation (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) has affected this program in any way?
 
Does anyone have any experience with applying for and receiving these deductions (either for their business or client)?  Was it successful?  If you have any other advice or suggestions, please let us know.  Thanks.
