Dear Building Simulation Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the release of GenOpt 3.0.0.

GenOpt is an optimization program for the minimization of a cost
function, such as annual energy use. The cost function can be computed
using any simulation program with text-based input and output, such as
EnergyPlus, TRNSYS, IDA, DOE-2 or ESP-r. GenOpt can also be used to
automate parametric studies.

GenOpt 3.0.0 will run multiple simulations in parallel. Depending on the
number of processors that your computer has, GenOpt may start multiple
simulations simultaneously in order to reduce the computing time for an
optimization or a parametric study.
