Hello Myrene,

It is acceptable to use PV Watts or RetScreen to calculate the PV
electricity output. Using one of these (free) software tools would be an
exceptional calculation method.

For the purpose of LEED credit EA c1 Optimize energy performance, is it
possible to account for on-site renewable energy using option 1 (whole
building energy simulation). It seems that you can using 1 of two
options: modeling directly onto building modeling software or using
exceptional calculation method, but I am not clear on the actual
procedure. Which one of the modeling software is capable of modeling PV
renewable energy systems?
