[Bldg-sim] Tripoli - Libya Climate Zone

Thanks everyone for your comments, this has been very helpful.

Does anyone know of an energy benchmark for residential low rise
buildings in Libya?

It would be very helpful to have without need to do a full 90.1 model.

Thanks.

Kind Regards

There is a small software tools published with energyplus - after the
installation of energyplus, you can find it under:

.\energyplus\PreProcess\WeatherConverter\Weather.exe

Then you can use this software converter your .epw file to .stat file.
Then open the .stat file in any text edit tools, you can find the
climate zone for this area.

But I find there will be some gaps between two calculation method:

*	hand calculation in excel and followed the criteria in ASHRAE
90.1

*	the climate zone find from the .stat file which calculates by
"WeatherConverter"

Until now I still confuse why this could happen. And at last I choose
the result calculated by "WeatherConverter".

Hi All,

I tried to find it in Ashrae 90.1 but it does not seem to be in there.

I assumed it would be in climate zone 1, but it could be in climate zone
2.

Thanks.
