[Bldg-sim] EE4 Maximum Error

Hi Oleksandra,
EE4 can work with up to 100 zones. If you have more than that, you may want to consider merging some of them anyhow, for ease of modeling/review. The other option I can think of is creating your reference building directly in DOE2.
Are you sure the ITEM referred to is zones though? I don't know off the top of my head what the maximums are for things like windows or lighting or surfaces, or if there are explicit maximums, but the 2048 makes it sound to me like this may be something other than number of zones. The error should be shown right under the thing that caused it, so it should be pretty easy to tell what the issue is.
Good luck!
Alex

Subject: [Bldg-sim] EE4 Maximum Error
Hello All,
I am working on a rather large model in EE4 and the simulation runs but no reference is created. Taking a closer look at the BDL file, the following error is noted: EXCEEDED MAXIMUM FOR THIS ITEM OF 2048. Is there a way to get the reference building to generate without merging many of the zones to decrease the size of the model?
Thanks,
