[EnergyPlus_Support] Weather Data, Statistics Reports
Are there any output of weather statistics like those produced by
DOE-2.1E?
Don't know if you're refering to the DOE-2 weather processing program
here or the DOE-2 program itself, I will guess the DOE-2 program
itself.
The current program (V1.0.0) has some summary climate data which appears
in the "one-time" EnergyPlus output file (eplusout.eio).
This data has an "environment" designation and
information records:
! <Environment>,Environment Name,Environment Type, Start
Date, End Date, Start DayOfWeek, Duration {#days}
! <Environment:Special Days>, Special Day Type, Source, Start
Date, Duration {#days}
! <Environment:Daylight Saving>, Daylight Saving Indicator,
Source, Start Date, End Date
! <Environment:WarmupDays>, NumberofWarmupDays
Environment,COLORADO SPRINGS COLORADO WINTER,DesignDay, 1/21,
1/21,MONDAY, 1
Environment:Daylight Saving,No
Environment:WarmupDays, 5
Environment,COLORADO SPRINGS COLORADO SUMMER,DesignDay, 7/21,
7/21,MONDAY, 1
Environment:Daylight Saving,No
Environment:WarmupDays, 3
Environment,BOULDER CO TMY2-94018,WeatherRunPeriod, 5/ 1,
5/10,MONDAY, 10
Environment:Daylight Saving,No
Environment:WarmupDays, 4
The above illustrates the usual EnergyPlus output methods. First a
header record of descriptive information, i.e.:
! <Environment:...>...
Then, as the simulation proceeds, the actual data:
Environment:...
Likewise, on the EnergyPlus standard output file, each of the individual
conditions represented on the weather file is available for reporting
(dry-buib, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity, etc).
I have attached the summary that is produced by the weather
converter. This, of course, is available for any existing weather
file (EPW).
Suggestions are welcomed but may be a better function for a
"post-processor" than internal to EnergyPlus itself.
