I don't think I had any problems on Linux with the PDF files either with
the default reader or Acrobat's downloaded reader. In general, you need
Acrobat 5 to read the files.
The other problem could be the download from the web and the browser you
are using. (You could try a dos to unix convert on the downloaded file --
but I didn't think that was necessary).
I intend that the next Linux install will include the files as they are in
the Windows install. But without search capability -- that doesn't seem to
be active on Linux Acrobat Reader.
I also have this note:
notes from the support forum, must use command: env LANG=C acroread
to execute or will get UTF error
