Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Limited csv-File

The best way is to create RVIs, essentially subsets of
the data you report out and run through ReadVars again.

For example one RVI may just be the fuel consumption at
whatever timestep, another might be zone MAT and MRT,
a third might be system operating conditions.

Good set of example RVIs included in the example files.

(I'd be willing to share RVIs that I've created--they are
specific to the small office that I'm simulating but they'd
give you a start.)

Dear all,

simulation of huge buildings and their HVACs causes also a huge amount of
calculated data. In E+ a csv-file limited to 254 columns is created
automatically. Sometimes this amount of columns is not enough. Does anybody
know how to make this field bigger? How to get out all data from E+. Maybe
a sorted txt-file? A csv-file would be preferred.

For me it would be great to have csv-files with unlimited columns. Maybe
the E+ team can create a button within the package (user interface) to
limit the csv to 254 for MS Excel users (is already done) and to open
(unlimited) it for users not using Excel.

It would be also useful for European E+ users to make a optional button to
define their own signs for comma (,) or (.). This would help most to make a
xls-file from a csv-file.

Kind regards

Isidor
