Variable names in Fortran 90 are limited to 32 characters.

In EnergyPlus, strings are limited to 60 characters (i.e. Zone Names, Node 
Names, Schedule names, etc).  Likewise, EnergyPlus Report Variable Names 
are limited to 60 characters (don't ask me whether that includes the units 
qualifiers -- I don't remember).
